Tremor panic kills one in Jamalpur


A man was killed apparently in panic attack as earthquake hit Bangladesh in the early hours of Monday at Melandaha upazila in Jamalpur.



The victim was identified as Sona Miah, 38, a tailor by profession.

Relatives said Sona visibly died of a heart attack caused by the earthquake as he was on a visit to his in laws' home in a neighbouring village.



The victim’s elder brother said Sonah was quickly taken to Melandaha Upazila Health Complex as panic gripped him where the visiting doctors declared him dead, according to BSS. - Idrak
