A Jubo Dal leader, who received injuries in an attack allegedly by his brothers, over land dispute at Radhanagar village in Sadar upazila on Monday morning, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Nasir Uddin Biswas, 41, president of ward-5 Jubo Dal of Saganna union and son of Jalal Uddin Biswas of the village.
Sub-inspector Badiur Rahman, in-charge of Duck Bungalow police camp in Sadar upazila, said Nasir locked into an altercation with his brothers Abdur Rashid, Lutfar Rahman and Abdul Wahab around 11am on Monday over the share of land.
At one stage, they stabbed Nasir and hit him in the head, leaving him critically injured.
He was taken to Sadar Hospital from where he was moved to the DMCH. Around 2am on Tuesday he succumbed to his injuries.
His brothers went into hiding after the incident, according to UNB. - Idrak
