The government has extended the tenure of Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Abul Kalam Azad by one year.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this connection on Tuesday.
According to the notification, Mr Azad has been appointed principal secretary to the PMO on contractual basis until December 1 next after cancelling his post-retirement leave.
His appointment will be effective either from January 7 or the date he joins the office, it said, according to UNB. - DH
