State-own cellular phone operator Teletalk is going to introduce new logo in February, as a rebranding process towards turning it into a profitable entity.
"Teletalk will go for rebranding its business case. As part of the process, new logo of the operator would be introduced in February," State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim said on Wednesday.
She also hoped the operator would be profitable organization through the rebranding process. Teletalk had introduced 3G service nearly one year ahead of private operators, but it had failed to grab the advantages.
The state minister hoped Teletalk would develop its overall scenario after the introduction of mobile number portability (MNP). Telecom regulator's statistics showed that Teletalk has nearly 40 lakh customer base where as total mobile phone users in Bangladesh have reached over 13 crore, according to BSS. -Mithun
