Journo Azizul Haq dies




Senior journalist Azizul Haq died of cardiac arrest at a city hospital on Wednesday night.

He was 73.

Azizul Haq, a special correspondent and chief reporter of now defunct The Bangladesh Observer, left behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

He will be buried at his ancestral home in Narayanganj. Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and Kamrul Islam Chowdhury, president and general secretary of the National Press Club, expressed deep shock at the death of Azizul Haq and also conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members, according to UNB. – DH
