A weeklong Anti Drug Debate Festival is set to begin on January 18 in Dhaka with the aim to make anti-drug campaign popular creating mass awareness on its harmful effect.
Debate for Democracy and Department of Narcotics Control will organise the debate festival, a press release said on Friday.
Debate topics include causes and trends of drug addition, social awareness for narcotics control, media role in controlling narcotics, parental role and civil society engagement in anti drug campaign.
Inspector General of Bangladesh Police AKM Shahidul Hoque will formally inaugurate the festival. It will be participated by colleges across the country including Viqarunnesa Noon College, Siddheswari Girls College, St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and South Point College.
