The condition of BNP leader RA Gani deteriorated further on Friday night. Hospital sources said BNP Standing Committee member RA Gani, 89, was in critical condition. Doctors and relatives said he is on life support in the intensive care unit of Square Hospital.
BNP’s acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan and other leaders have visited the senior politician at the hospital after hearing of his condition.
Gani, who is suffering from heart disease, had been in BIRDEM Hospital for several days until his condition deteriorated further. He was shifted the Square Hospital on Wednesday.
RA Gani was the state minister for science and technology in BNP founder Ziaur Rahman’s cabinet, according to a news agency.
