A multi-storey building that has tilted to its one side, has been evacuated. Rajdhani Unnyan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) has also declared the four-storey building at Tajmahal Road at Mohammadpur in Dhaka to be 'risky'.
The building, No. 19/4, situated on the road, tilted against an adjacent building on Saturday morning. The residents did not leave it until RAJUK instructed them to do so in the afternoon.
Fire Service and police informed RAJUK about the situation. It sent a team to the area in the afternoon.
RaJUK official Ashraful Islam said that the building had been declared 'risky' and was evacuated after inspection.
He said a team from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) will examine the building later, according to bdnews24.com.
