Kyle Haywood, Managing Director (MD) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, has resigned.
A competent source at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism said the managing director of the national flag carrier, Biman, quit the job on Sunday. A ministry official said in the afternoon that the Biman MD tendered his resignation around 2:00pm.
Haywood, a commercial aviation professional, took over as Managing Director and CEO of Biman on January 5, 2015.
The 49-year-old Briton worked for British Airways, Etihad, Gulf Air and low-cost carriers Air Arabia, and Nasair before joining Biman. He also was CEO of Air Uganda, in Africa, according to a news agency.
