Leaders of district unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Katchari Bazaar zero point at Rangpur on Sunday called for building the Sonar Bangla as dreamt by the Father of the Nation at a post-rally discussion arranged in observance of the 44th Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu.
The district unit of BCL chalked out programmes, including hoisting of national and party flags, placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at its office in Batar Goli area and bringing out colourful rally followed by discussion.
Hundreds of the leaders and activists of BCL took part in the rally that paraded the city streets from Batar Goli to Katchari Bazaar area.
President of district BCL Mehedi Hassan Ronny presided over the discussion moderated by its General Secretary Rakibul Hassan Kanon.
Vice-presidents of district BCL Shamim Sarder, Zinnat Hossain Lavlu, its Joint Secretaries Shere Jahan Shaon, Sohel Rana Sonny and Asadullah Sagar, Organising Secretary SM Sabbir, General Secretary of Sadar upazila BCL Chitta Ranjan, addressed.
Mehedi Hasina Ronny asked leaders and activists of BCL for further strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in building a middle income nation free from hunger, poverty, terrorism, militancy and anarchy to realise the dream of Bangabandhu, according to BSS. - Idrak
