A three-day 6th digital innovation fair "Divisional Digital Innovation Fair-2016" will begin in Chittagong from February 25.
The fair will be held with the aim to develop digital technology in the country and reducing the gap between the government and people through digital technology, said Deputy Commissioner Mezbah Uddin on Tuesday afternoon.
Representatives from different public, private organisations and government officials attended the meeting.
Meeting sources said over 100 information stalls will be set up in Chittagong Outer stadium area and three seminars on information technology will be held during the fair.
District administration sources said the fair is organised annually to showcase government's initiatives and encourage government and private institutions for innovation.
Several public and private institutions, including banks and financial institutions, academic institutions, universities, online and IT-based institutions and all kinds of tech-friendly organizations can take part in the fair.
The best among the participants will be awarded in eight categories. Those who are interested to participate in the fair should complete registration within February 15, according to BSS. - Idrak
