The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will hold a public hearing on services provided by Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) in the city on January 27. The ACC made the announcement at a views-exchange meeting with reporters at its Dhaka divisional office on Thursday. Speaking at the meeting, ACC director Nasim Anwar said the hearing will be held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium.
He said three directors of Rajuk (estate, planning and development divisions) will answer to allegations to be raised against Rajuk officials during the hearing.
Housing and Public Works Minister Engr Mosharraf Hossain will be present at the hearing to be moderated by additional secretary of Home Ministry Akhter Hossain.
The city dwellers, who have the experiences of sufferings in availing themselves of services from Rajuk, can take part in the public hearing to make their allegations against the officials responsible for that.
They have been requested to contact the ACC head office or its Dhaka divisional office or members of local Corruption Prevention Committees to join the hearing.
Nasim said the public hearing is being arranged as part of the Commission's graft prevention activities being carried out following the Anti Corruption Commission Act 2004 and the National Integrity Strategy, according to UNB.
